FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Lock-Cuff is manufactured using tempered steel which makes it extremely difficult to cut. No lock is foolproof. But Lock-cuff is a fantastic deterrent, being both visible and a tough lock to cut.
Lock-Cuff cannot be pulled off, on either side of Lock Cuff there is a TPU surface causing friction. When closed the pressure from the sandwich affect causes friction on both the throttle and the brake lever causing the Lock-cuff to remain securely locked in place at all times. It cannot be wedged off.

It is very easy to forget a disc lock. Riding off with the lock still in place results in damaging your bike or worse causing an accident.
A disc lock is harder to attach and it’s very easy to get dirty (greasy) and wet. Then your hands and grips are dirty too (perhaps then your clothes).
If 2 bikes park on either side of you it could be impossible to unlock your bike.
Some bikes do not have disk brakes.
Disc brakes heat up quickly and you must be very cautious not get burned.
In the evening or rain it is difficult to unlock a disk lock.

Bear in mind that 90% of motorcycle thieves drive off with the motorcycles. Thieves are clever, they will not push a stole bike down the street. If a thief was to remove the pivot bolt, cut the brake lever or brake cable, unlike other grip locks, Lock Cuff will keep the grip firmly locked, your bike cannot be driven away.
Lock-Cuff’s unique locking system allows it to fit on 95 percent of motorcycles, scooters, mopeds, ATV’s, quads, E-Bikes and even jet skis. However, if you have closed hand guards this lock is not suitable.
This type of locking system has been around for 2 decades, the answer is no, it will not harm your braking system. There have been no cases where locking brakes closed on a motorcycle has caused damage.
